Refund Policy

The promise

If Spectrum Dicta is not for you, ask for your money back within 30 days of purchase and we refund it. No explanation required.

We would rather refund someone than keep money from a person who is not using the product.

How to ask

Write to support@spectrumdicta.com from the address you bought with, or with your licence key. That is the whole procedure. We aim to answer within two working days, and the money returns by the same route it arrived, which usually takes a few days more depending on your bank.

Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, so the refund is issued through Paddle. You can also ask Paddle directly, from the link in the receipt they email you.

What happens to your licence

Your licence key is revoked immediately. A refund undoes the purchase, so the licence goes with it: that computer stops receiving new versions, and the key cannot be activated again.

You should uninstall the Software. We have no way to reach into your computer and remove it, and we do not want one — which is exactly why we ask.

There is no free trial

There is no trial version, and that is deliberate. A trial that expires in the middle of a working day is worse than a refund you can ask for without explaining yourself.

So the thirty days above are the trial. Buy it, use it in your real work rather than in a demo, and if it has not earned its place by the end of the month, write to us and we return the money.

What is not refunded

• A reactivation, once the new year of updates has started, unless it fails to work.
• A purchase older than the window above, except where the law of your country grants you a longer right — in which case the law wins over this document.

If something is broken

The window above is for changing your mind. If the Software does not work as described, that is a different matter and it has no deadline: write to us and we will fix it or refund you, whatever the date.

Chargebacks

If you open a chargeback with your bank instead of writing to us, the licence is revoked in the same way. We would rather you wrote first; it is faster for you and cheaper for us.
